On Sharing Your Story
It’s been a long time since I’ve introduced myself around here – and my friend Lorie Hartshorn, host of The 700 Club Canada gave me a pretty amazing opportunity to do just that yesterday. So fun! Friend to friend, I was able to share some of my personal story and we covered a lot of ground in just a few minutes - my time in missions, the unlikely call to adoption, how I met my husband, and how to support a family in crisis. If you were in my living room, you’d have a cup of good coffee or hot tea (depending on the time of day!) and we could talk face to face, sharing our stories of how God has led us through a story we couldn’t have written for ourselves.
I’m praying you’re encouraged today, right where you are, to share your story. Your story matters. The things God was doing when you had no idea He was even at work become evident as you start to share. It will not be perfect – my story is not – but it’s not done yet. May you know sustaining hope and the faithfulness of God that helps us to walk through all circumstances, friend.
PS – Part 2, where I got to share about how I started my very unlikely journey as an entrepreneur, is available to watch here!
